Mother’s Day Made Easy
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, I thought I’d pull together a few gift ideas from the committee to makes sure your Mum (or wife!) feels the love on Sunday 13 May.
Ok, I’ll start… If your Mum is anything like me and my Mum, you can’t go wrong with gifting her with tickets to a show. Whether she likes to groove at a jazz gig, laugh out loud or get courtside at a game, there are plenty of events coming up that’ll make her Mother’s Day.
Peta’s family doesn’t really buy into the commercial hype of Mother’s Day so for her, no gifts are required. In saying that, she also said she would never complain about a quiet lie-in and breakfast in bed on Mother’s Day – and a handmade card is always nice too.
Charlotte’s go-to Mother’s Day (and Father’s Day) gifts are what she likes to call ‘essential parenting luxuries’. Think: a Bluetooth speaker for witching hour dance parties, a pair of Allbirds for pounding the pavement with the buggy, and a Keep Cup for those take-out coffees.
Rosie’s ideal Mother’s Day would involve a relaxed outing with her family – that she hadn’t organised! For her Mum, it’s a Skype call with all the family – simple but special.
